Words cannot describe how special this home stay is. Firstly, there is a variety of accommodation levels to cater for all budgets. We stayed in Bungalow 10, (photo below), 212 stairs down, but the most secluded with the sounds of a babbling brook, birds and local village life in the distance. Other bungalows have far less steps if you need. Secondly, the location is absolutely stunning, in the middle of a forest, just out of Sapa, so it's beautifully peaceful. Every day, there is one free taxi service into town, which none of the other countryside homestays near Sapa offer. This is so convenient and much appreciated. The bungalows are incredible, very private with outdoor table and chairs and so romantic! We only had time to do one guided trek with a guide organized by Sinai. Our guide Lina was the most wonderful, happy and funny company you could wish for on a day out. We highly recommend! Due to an unfortunate accident, my stay meant that I required a lot of care and support from the host. I was well cared for and loved, just like a member of the family. Ruth went above and beyond to ensure that my every possible need was fulfilled, to do with the police, the hospital, the certificates to get home, the pain medication I needed, and even more that I didn't know I needed! We thank you Ruth and Sinai, from the bottom of our hearts and we will remember you forever ❤️ 💙 ♥️

Lovely views over the valley, room spacious, clean and comfortable and the heater worked well, nice hot shower too. Only negative was the restaurant on site, which was pretty pricey (some of the mains were 300k, I’ve had perfectly tasty meals for 50k at popular restaurants in Vietnam!), perhaps relying on being more than walking distance from town? Breakfast also wasn’t the most inspiring - it would be nice to include some fruit and toast as well as boiled vegetables and sugary bread, but maybe it is catered more to non-western tastes, which is fair enough if there aren’t as many westerners staying!

Bungalow 7 was amazing! It's great to have 1 included taxi per day, perfect for setting off for each days adventures. Large bungalow, plenty of space for a family of 3 and the beds were comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck enjoying the view. Be aware there were about 180 steps to get to Bungalow 7. We were fine with this each day but could be a concern for some.

We arrived very early, as we came by sleeper bus from Hanoi, and the staff were very kind, letting us wait inside the reception area. Since check-in starts from 1 pm, we rented a scooter from the reception while waiting for our bungalow. The receptionist was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and handled everything quickly — within 15 minutes we were on our way to explore Sapa. Later, we checked into bungalow No. 9, which was an absolute dream. The view of the wild nature and the peaceful surroundings were amazing. The only downside was the uphill walk to the reception 😅. If you’re not in good shape, like me, try to request a bungalow closer to the reception. Breakfast was okay — not a huge selection, but still good: a sandwich or an egg and sausage plate. Overall, we had an amazing stay. Listening to the rain from inside the bungalow while relaxing in a hot bath was simply wonderful. Definitely a top 10 experience!

We had a very nice stay at Sinai Bungalow. The property is about a mile from Sa Pa proper which makes it a nice, quiet location - it's also very beautiful, rain or shine, being on the backside of the hill. It's not a luxurious stay, but as an upscale backpacker's hotel, it was really good and I'd recommend it. They let us rent a motorbike, which we used to tool around the city, and were accommodating for our dog. We also used them to arrange a tour of the local villages - they do try to cover all a tourist's needs. The staff was very attentive and friendly - we had trouble with our water heater, and then the power went out for the whole neighborhood for a whole day, but the staff were communicative and proactive. Overall I think Sinai was a very good value for money!

This hotel is in an amazing location and is a very different type of stay compared to regular hotels you might stay in on your Vietnam trip. Staying here you really get a break from the hustle and bustle which is there even in Sapa town. The bungalows are cool to stay in and you really feel connected to nature. As others have mentioned the steps would be an issue for anyone with mobility problems. The star of the show are the staff at this hotel. Literally they cannot do enough to ensure you get the most of your stay in Sapa and get to where you need to be on time. Thank you Ruth!

The location was peaceful and tucked away in a quiet area. The bungalow was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. The views from the porch were absolutely stunning, a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. It was a truly relaxing stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, and Ruth was especially helpful — she responded quickly to our queries and even went out of her way to help us arrange transport late at night. Overall, a fantastic stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful homestay - very peaceful and quiet location on the edge of Sapa Town. The lady at reception was fantastic - very friendly, always available via Whatsapp to answer our questions about things to visit, places to eat, etc. She also helped us checking in at 5 am as our night bus arrived very early in Sapa (we had booked an extra night to be able to check this early) so she got up just to check us in and show us our room. They also offer a scooter rental service which was reasonably priced and very convenient. The city centre is a 5mns drive from the hotel so very easy to quickly pop out of your room and buy some groceries. The room was very nice and had a unique charm to it. It can get a bit cold in the evening as we visited in March but the AC was working really well and got us warm very fast. We did not try the restaurant but they offer similar dishes to some of the restaurants in the centre so if you don't want to be driving at night it's a decent option.

We loved our stay here! It was so nice to have a private bungalow in the view was stunning. The bungalows are really cosy have a really nice bathroom shower set up. The bed was also one of the comfy beds. We slept on during our travels in Vietnam. The staff was very kind and provided one free ride into downtown Sapa each day! While you are a little far from town, it’s easy to get into town. The serenity at Sinai is very much worth the drive! Understandably there are lots of stairs if you are in a lower bungalow (11 is the furthest bungalow down, we stayed in 8). This wasn’t a problem for us as we only had backpacks, but if you have lots of luggage, I think you can just ask the staff to help you. The breakfast included was not the best we’ve had in Vietnam as they do it buffet style, so sometimes the food was cold… but other than that, our stay here was amazing!

The location is about 2km from town, I purposely chose this as I wanted to be away from the noise of beeping horns. As they are separate bungalows you get no noise other than birds, a beautiful view from the room of greenery and mountain. I rented a motorbike from them as well which was ideal as I didn't want to leave my passport with an outside shop. The owner was very nice but a special mention for Paula the receptionist who was fantastic, she speaks perfect English. Breakfast was basic, a small buffet style, not a huge choice but it's only a small home stay so it's not really practical for them to put on a huge buffet, the quality was fine so no complaints.
